The products shall be produced by casting, extrusion, drawing, annealing, straightening and trimming, and shall be capable of being produced as seamless tubes under specified conditions. Copper and copper alloys shall be specifically supplied in any of the following states: annealed, lightly drawn, hard drawn or hard drawn and final annealed. Tubes for use in ferrule blanks shall be fully annealed to allow complete crystallization. Products should be tested for expansion, compression, and residual stress. Tensile and expansion requirements for the product are specified according to the tempering designation. Products shall also be tested for mercurous nitrate, ammonia vapor, eddy current, hydrostatic pressure and pneumatic tests.
